Our athletes stepped onto one of the biggest stages in Indian para-sport this year, representing Kerala at the National Cerebral Palsy Athletics Championship 2022, held at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. The championship, jointly organized by the Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of India (CPSFI) and the Paralympic Committee of India, brought together contingents from across the country to compete in track and field events specifically structured for athletes with cerebral palsy.

Months of dedicated training led up to this moment, and it showed. Our athletes competed with grit and focus across multiple events, bringing home a strong haul of medals for Kerala. When the final tally was in, Kerala was crowned overall champions of the tournament, a result that reflects not just individual talent, but the strength of the support system, coaching, and community behind every athlete who made the trip to Delhi.

Moments like the trophy lift captured here are more than just a celebration of medals. They represent years of persistence, the belief that ability shows up in many forms, and the joy of watching that belief validated on a national stage. We’re incredibly proud of every athlete who competed, and even prouder of what this win means for the visibility of para-sports back home.
